Our goals are to investigate the endocrine regulation of both the development and expression of sex differences in stress responding. We achieve this objective with experiments that are designed to answer two big questions: (1) How does the early environment (internal and external) contribute to programming sex differences in stress responding? (2) How do sex differences in stress responding manifest themselves within an ethologically relevant framework?
